I'm Zabella Burkett, a Michigan author with an overactive imagination, a love for storytelling, and a tendency to get completely lost in the worlds I create. I've always believed that a good story should make you feel something, whether that's laughter, heartbreak, excitement, or the desperate need to turn just one more page.

Beyond the ordinary

I've never believed in limiting my imagination to one genre. From supernatural romance and fantasy to contemporary love stories, suspense, and the occasional unexpected adventure, I write wherever my imagination takes me.

I love creating characters who feel real, friendships that mean something, and stories where even the smallest choices can change everything. And sometimes, my characters have a habit of taking over and writing their own endings.

Beyond the ordinary

I create fierce women, supernatural chaos, loyal love, found family, and plenty of smart-ass banter. My characters occupationally make terrible decisions for excellent reasons.
And yes, I meant occupationally.

I believe the best stories are the ones that make you laugh when you least expect it, break your heart when you're not prepared, and leave you thinking about the characters long after you've turned the final page.

And if my characters happen to cause a little chaos along the way? Well, that's just part of the fun.
